Situated in a small French region Alsace, Ebénisterie Seltz gained prominence as a workshop recognized for crafting, among others, Pierre Chapo’s designs in the 1970s and 1980s. Consequently, their own furniture creations bear the hallmark of impeccable craftsmanship and the use of premium quality materials. Their body of work is distinguished by the primary utilization of solid wood, mainly oak and elm, expertly constructed through intricate wood joinery techniques. The present dining table is a striking example of this approach. Crafted from solid elmwood, the table exhibits a refined sculptural design that is both sleek and contemporary in appearance. The table features a large top with smooth round edges. The base is comprised of concave legs with expertly executed undulating carvings. The elmwood gives the table its defining, distinctive look, with its pronounced grains and expressive pattern, imparting the piece with a natural and organic appearance.
